Tom Corfield : Organ Recital

Tom Corfield : Organ Recital

19th May 2017

7.00pm

St Peter's Church

Tonight we are privileged to hear one of the best organists in the country, Tom Corfield. Tom was assistant organist extraordinaire at Derby Cathedral from 1985-2016. He will play tonight on the restored organ of St. Peter's Church with a dashing programme from J.S. Bach the Unsurpassed to the organ greats of Franck and Rheinberger, to the monumental Vierne. Sit anywhere in the church or gallery to enjoy the glorious pipes and feel free to move between pieces to explore the sounds even further.

Enjoy the sounds of the recently restored organ at St. Peter's. Do feel free to wander in between pieces to experience the acoustics of the building from different angles. As in our other concerts you are welcome to take you drinks with you into the church. There will be a small celebration with the artist after the concert to which all his friends are most heartily invited.
