A play written and directed by Jane Wilton.

Jane Wilton's play returns to Belper following it's success in 2016. In fact the play, then a work in progress, featured in the Belper Arts Festival of 2014 as one act. Now it can be seen in all its glory as Sandra, Betty, Bruce, Our John, Duvet Dave and the rest take their places under the gazebo outside the fish finger factory one more time.

On 1st July 2007 virtually all work and public places became smoke free zones.

Overnight the only thing smoked in restaurants was salmon. 'Fag breaks' became a common sight as disparate and desperate groups of workers gathered outside in the wind, rain and snow for a drag.

'Light One Up' is a funny, poignant play with characters we all recognise.

A PROPBOX presentation.
